Simple Meal: Pork Steak

Source

Another meal that I recently cooked is the Pork Steak.  It may look complicated but in reality it's very easy.  Specially to like me who is not an expert cook.

Here goes:

1. 4 pcs porkchop (better get the one with fat and pork skin)
2. 4 pcs Calamansi (Lime / Lemon if Calamansi is not available)
3. 1/2 cup soy sauce
4. 1 cup water
5. 1 medium sized white onion
6. Salt and Pepper to taste
7. 1/2 cup cooking oil

Let's get started:

For your Marinade, add 4 tbsp of soy sauce and 4 pcs Calamansi - mix all together with the pork chop.  Marinating time is minimum 1 hour but the longer the better, the sauce is absorbed better overtime.

1. In a hot pan, heat the cooking oil
2. Put the pork and turn over from time to time, 2 min alternately (this will give the pork a tender taste without burning it)
3. Once evenly cooked, remove the oil from the pan
4. Pour in the water and let it boil together with the pork
5. Add in the soy soy sauce used for marinating, the remaining soy sauce and  continue to boil
6. Add salt and pepper to taste
7. Sugar and calamansi can be also be added
8. Add the white onions while simmering
9. Serve with steamed rice

Enjoy!
