Akala ko..

I was not able to vote last National Election because I was in Malaysia.  I cannot complain because I was not able to give my share!

This Baranggay Election, we Diaz Family, came together to vote!

Me: Hopeful that my name is still listed in the precinct even if I was not able to vote last time!

Diaz Family here we go!!
After looking at 4 precincts...
Wala name ko!! Saklap!! :(

Wow! After three years of being married, this is my first election using my very beautiful last name! Proud Mrs. Fernando!!

inLove! ❤

Happy Friday: How young is your love?

No matter what age we are, we all know what Love is.
We know that being in love is a happy feeling that we always want to be in that state.

For me:

Being in love is being able to do the things that you cannot imagine doing.

Being in love is sharing the happiness to the people who you care about, your family and friends who play a vital role in your happy life.

Being in love is finding happiness where you least expect it.

I want to share with you a video that was shared to me by my husband.

This is just a simple video of an old couple playing the piano.. but notice how they do it.. it spells the difference between being inlove at a young age and still being inlove after decades of marriage. :D

I wish that my husband and I can be like that after several decades of being married.  They always say that being in love is a great feeling but it does not end there.  Being in love and staying that way forever is hard work!

Are you ready to take on the challenge?
I am!

How to be Happy?

I have so many posts about happiness and how to be inspired to be one.  I am always asked how I keep that state.. It's plain and simple!

Thinking of the things you have that other people wish for is already a reason to be happy!

Now how can one not be happy?
Smile now! :D

Who loves reading?

Personally I am not fond of reading.. I just feel bored about it and I feel that I can waste my time in some other things! Hehe! For the bookworm out there, I admire their passion and I envy how they can finish one book in a day!

In my lifetime (aside from my school books), I only read three books!

1. Sweet Valley Teens (one book)
2. Twilight Saga (first book), the remaining books I finished through ebooks!
3. Bakit Hindi ka crush ng crush mo.

I think I know the reason that I am not a bookworm.
I just tend to get excited at first but I cannot sustain my excitement in finishing a book.  Maybe because I am more visual rather than imaginative.
I like to see things and react from it.

I just wanted to emphasize that everyone is different.
In our individual differences it is where we learn how to:

- accept individual differences
- complement each other
- be flexible
- be changeable
- be respectful

It is through these differences where we learn that we are all unique but we can learn from each other!

I thank everyone who have fully accepted by being and I look forward to sharing my stories and crazyness to all of you!

Happy Friday: When life gives you lemons...

Who the hell will care what you do with it?

Your LIFE is yours and you have the power to do whatever it is that you like.
If you are guided with the values taught by your parents and family then you know exactly what you can do with your life.

Here are some of my simple tips on how to make your life worth while.

1. Value simplicity - it is through simple things that big things prosper
2. Love Dearly - love without asking something in return
3. Help Sincerely - we are watched by Him and He will give us good karma
4. Expect Less - you will be happy in everything that will come unexpectedly
5. Smile a lot - even if you have challenges, smile at it and you will feel light

Always value the people who shows that you are worthy to be loved.
Be true to your family and friends who are there even when you don't need them. Be reachable! Be Lovable!

Simple things make simple people happy!
Make it a habit to make the most out of our simple days!

Movie-nspiration: Warm Bodies

What is your feeling when you are connected?
I am not really a fan of Zombie movies (except for WWZ) but when Sweets and I thought of watching a movie together we decided to watch this one because of its cute trailer.

If you want a fast paced movie then this is not for you.
If you want a slow paced movie, sort of feel good movie then this might do the trick.

When I am watching a movie, I tend to conclude but when I wanted to let the thought of the movie flow then I just stand by for the next scene.  I know zombies and stuff are not real (or we don't know) but this movie made me feel that zombies are not that bad at all.

It's nice how simple the story was made.

A simple connection that made the difference to mankind.  Big words right but it was an act that will make you realize that simple things do matter and it can eventually help on the big picture.

What simple deed have you shared today?
We may not b given payment right there and then but He is watching over those simple deeds!

Happy sharing!

Sweets Time!

We will not miss sweets! Even before I fly here to Malaysia, Sweets and I already talked about Tong Fak Pu.

Tong Fak Pu is a famous dessert restaurant in Hong Kong.  They serve this dessert known to Taiwanese as "Snow Ice" whilst the Hong Kong people prefer to call it "Fluffy Ice or Cotton Ice.  What sets this apart from the traditional desserts is its appearance - served as layers of light and fluffy snow ice delicately piled up on the plate melts softly in the mouth with a delightful cooling sensation!

We tried the Chocolate Ice Snow!

It's ice cream but in a different presentation.

Then we also tried their Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun!

It's not on my "must try" desserts but still worth to have a taste!

Another must try meal

Yesterday, my husband and I went to another hawkers here in Malaysia. I was here for two years but it was my first time there.

Nothing fancy just the good old "Char Siew".. "Okie let's try it", I said.

Then my husband said "see, ang daming tao".. From that statement I knew that it would be worth our lunch.

We ordered their best seller "Char Siew" (roasted pork) and "Choy Sum" and rice.

Hmm.. It looked so tempting!

When I tasted it, wow, so nice and tender.  I cannot describe it explicitly but even without the sauce this dish will solve your hungry stomach!  I do not eat pork skin but this one is an excemption! It was not like the ordinary pork skin! It was so easy to chew and so tasty!  Better visit this again!

Happy Eating! ^_^

Happy Friday: Life is like Temple Run

When I was in Malaysia, I always talk about the games that I enjoyed doing.
I enjoyed SIMS Social, Bugs Life, Candy Crush.

When I came back here in the Philippines, I deleted all my games and just let my Candy Crush application sit there in my phone.

Last weekend, the grand daughter of our friend was in our house.

Mamy Cora: Meron ka bang games jan sa iPad, Tablet?
KL: Wala po akong iPad eh, iPhone meron, pero wala po akong games eh.
KL: (To Shaine) Marunong ka bang mag Candy Crush?
Shaine: Hindi eh.. Temple Run alam ko.
KL: Wala ako non eh..
Shaine: *sad*
KL: Sige mag download tayo ng Temple Run
Shaine: "Wink Wink"

Because of that scenario, now I have Temple Run.
It was the first time I had this game in my phone and it was also my first time to play it.  Seriously!

As I was playing it, I realized that Temple Ran is like our lives.
When you play it, he keeps on running and running and looking for coins and avoiding bumpy roads ahead.

Like our lives; it's a continuous journey that we have to take and there is no sense in stopping because life will go on even if we bump into something unpleasant!  Life will take you to extreme heights, fires, bumps and even dragons but we need to make sure that we move on because that's how life is.

Like Temple Run, you will also have accomplishments along the way but as it says "Next Challenge" it also means to say that a lot more challenges will come.

Challenges that will strengthen our character and will make us better persons.
Now whether you enjoy playing this game or not, let us all enjoy what life has to offer us and let us not stop running!

He who quits never wins! (but make sure you know your battles). :D

They also have feelings!

One week ago, my husband was here in the Philippines and he was here for 9 loong days.

He just stayed at home so most of the time Ciolo was with him.  Ciolo is turning 12 and all this time it's only Sweets whom he loves most.  Yes we know it even if he doesn't say a thing.  It's with his actions that we know this fact.

When Sweets' was here, he was very energetic and bubbly, always by Sweets' side.  Then when Sweets left, Ciolo was so low energy, does not want to bark, does not want to eat and always stares at the door.  Everytime he hears a car outside, he always look at the door and it seemed that he was waiting for Sweets to come in.

Oh my Ciolo! I tried to comfort him everynight but he still sad. I tried to have him eat but he only eats a little. It happened for four days.

Last Thursday night, we asked Sweets to talk to Ciolo via WeChat.  Sweets was calling him "Ciolo, Ciolo Ciolo!" We don't know if Ciolo can hear him because he was just staring blankly at my phone.

Sweets then told Ciolo to eat.. Then kept calling his name.  Ciolo then moved his head as if he was hearing something and we were all praying that he would respond.

Friday - I was informed by Mama that Ciolo finally ate and his energy was back!  We are hoping that it will continue until Sweets goes back home again.

See, it's not enough to feed them everyday.  They feel the love and affection that we show them and believe it or not this is where they get their energetic and bubbly selves!!

We are brothers and sisters! We are family!

I have a lot of friends who have extended their family to animals.  Specifically dogs, because they are really "a man's bestfriend"!

I have written a lot of events with our babies and I would like to share the things on why they are so special to us:

1. Unconditional love - they will still cuddle you even if you don't pay attention to them!

2. Full attention - you have their full attention if you want to rant or if you just want someone to listen

3. Forever Happiness - you just can't help but smile eveytime they are around!

My list will go on and I may not have enough space so I will stop at three! You can name a few more and can stay all night because these extended family of ours are just love and happiness!

From left is Cola, Ciolo and Max Jr.

From left is Hachi (Akita) and Melay (jack russel).
