The Wonderful Host: Louise' 18th Birthday Celebration

In any occasion like weddings or debut it is (almost) always critical that the master of ceremony will be as energetic as possible.

Let me lay down the reasons why we should have a great host for any event:

1. You want your program to flow smoothly as planned
2. You want to ensure audience participation
3. You don't want your guests be bored to death
4. You want your celebrator to enjoy his/her/their event
5. You want your event to be remembered

Best way to achieve these goals is to seek the best service a host can give! Why should I look for hosts from Manila or anywhere else when we have one here in our hometown!

Thanks to Mama for pointing out how special Sir Gali is and how great he is in this craft! A great decision that I will never regret!

Sir Gali and our coordinator (day itself) tweaked the program that I created and I found it special because they know how programs flow and what will help me and the guests! Just brilliant!

Who would have thought that the professional host that he is, still reviews the program flow and execute them flawlessly! Just great!

With your help Sir Gali the event was so lovely, lively and entertaining! Thanks for giving a sample of your beautiful voice when you sang a few lines for all of us!

Until the next event!!
I hope that's Christening!!

Make Up: Louise' 18th Birthday Celebration

Another great thing about this event was when Louise became the star of the night.  They say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but things can get even more beautiful if we highlight what's beautiful!

Okie fine what do I mean??
Louise is already beautiful -- syempre Mana sa kapatid! What made it even more exciting was when she was made even more beautiful with the help of our trusty Hair and Make Up Artist, Menard!

Thanks to Mika for referring Menard to us and we really definitely made the right choice!

Louise was so beautiful, great job to you Menard!!

Another shot to highlight this beautiful work!

Menard was also the one who made up Louise during her photoshoot!! Watch out for a separate post on that one!

Again Menard! Thanks for making Louise at her best!!

The food we shared: Louise' 18th Birthday Celebration

One of the best things about any celebration is the time where the family and friends share the meal that was prepared by the celebrator.

One can never over emphasize the importance of dinner time (eating time) to any occasion and it becomes more special and memorable if the food that was shared was extremely good to the palate.

I can't stress enough how happy I was with the food!

I am already full just by looking at them!

Details: Louise' 18th Birthday Celebration

This is what kept me busy all these days of January!
The 18th Birthday celebration of my sister twin and I would like to share with you some details of the event!

The wonderful bouquet was created by JW's Florist, Toffer.
It was a DIY bouquet as I was the one who bought the flowers and I asked help for it to be arranged and it was just great to look at!

This is a closer look!

I did not expect that her gown can be this magnificent!
Just magical ~ wait until you see her wearing it.

Then here are the candles that were used by the 18 candles.
Another DIY and this time I created it.
The pompoms was also a DIY that I made using tulle cloth!

Then followed by the Rose Pastillas that we used for the 18 roses.
Yes these are edible roses.

We have here the elegant cake beautifully designed for this wonderful occasion by Ivy Kalaw.

Lastly, the simple table setting that was designed by both JW and myself.
Yes the center piece was a DIY as well as the Table number.
2016, because the table numbers was not the traditional 1, 2, 3s but the count started on the year Louise was born.

Watch this space for more!

Happy Birthday KL and Louise

The reunion was followed by our birthday!
Yes, you are not a close friend or a family if you don't know that Louise and I celebrate the same birth dates.  We are 15 years apart, yes, eldest and youngest of four siblings.

This year is going to be an exciting one because Louise turned 18 and is having her little party as a debutant.

She kicked off the celebration with her Pre debut photoshoot, let me share with you some of those wonderful shots in another blog post.

It was our birthday and what we had was a simple dinner in our house! Very seldom that we are all present in San Pablo so as it is, I already consider it as a gift!

Then I had a little celebration with my team mates --

Then was also suprised by my team! So happy to celebrate birthdays!

More birthdays to come for me and Louise :)

A Blast! Two words for the first day of our 2016!

We went through a lot last 2015 and we have nothing but good hopes this coming year.  It was welcomed by our annual Diaz Reunion.

We started to have themed reunion this year and it kicked off with the famous Hawaiian Theme.  Of course we will not set it aside -- Mama prepared our Hawaiian themed costumes and we all went and dressed up.

Yes while playing games, we were all dressed up.

Mama explaining the mechanics of the game.

Okie, eto pala ang Longgan!

There were a lot of food prepared by Ninang Judy and all of them were bountiful! Thank you Ninang Judy for always keeping our stomach full!

We had our annual gift giving and this year Ate Nins gave it a twist with a Christmas story where we:

- formed a circle holding our gifts
- if the word "want" and "once" are mentioned, we pass our gifts twice to the right
- if the word "right" was  mentioned, we pass our gifts once to the right
- if the word "left" was mentioned, we pass our gifts once to the left
- if the word "cross" and "across" was mentioned, we pass our gift across the circle

The story I think has more or less 5 paragraphs and so it took us so long but at the same time exciting.  We can't hold on to the gifts that we are holding because we don't know if the story is about go end or not.  Exciting as it is, we were all happy with what we received.

We also had our yearly "Biggest Loser Challenge" and no doubt about it that Ate Nina was indeed the winter.  She lost 10 kilos and the second best was Gboy who lost 1kilo.  Ate Nina won Php10k and $100, really a great inspiration to lose weight!

For the first time we were not able to take some family pictures!

Oh my! Impossible to happen but it did -- well anyways, next year will be more fun because we will have Gatsby as our Theme! Yey!
