Merry CF Recruitment Party!!

It's the time of the year once more where we celebrate our yearly Christmas Party! We were all prepared and we spent is in Ms My's house.
This is the famous "by the pool" wacky shot!

Let me share with you what happened for the rest of the day.
When we arrived, the "Food Committee "already prepared our food.
Thank you Ace, TinaZ, Tell, Roxy and Luanne! Nabusog kami!

Then a bit of decorations was added by our "Decorations Committee".
Thank you Jerome, Tiney and Roxy!

Then on to the one of the most awaited part of the party -- eating time!
Good that we had this one shot while eating because we were all so busy munchin!

Hahahah! ^_^ Of course we will not forget to take a shot of the foodies.

We had welcome remarks care of my very kind and accommodating manager, Ms Myra (Thanks po ulit for having us in your place)!!

Then on to the activities ---
The Games Committee prepared 6 games for all of us.
Before we start the games, we were grouped into two -- Green and Orange team and just coincident that I was part of the "Orange Team".

Before we start the games, the "Games Committee" were very busy preparing our games!

And we are all ready to ramble! Bring it on Green and Orange Team!!

The first game was called "Talong at Posporo (kahon)".
We need to bring the match box to the end of the line with the help of the eggplant. We can't touch the eggplant and here is how it should be done.. "Go Ven"

Then next was "Kadang-Kadang".
We need to walk using the "Bao and Lubid" all the way to the goal then back to our base. "Go Lhen!"

Then we had "Calamansi Relay".
Give me that Calamansi Ven!!!

We also had "Hukayin ang Ginto".  There were gold chocolate coins at the botton of the container filled with flour (if you can scroll up to the picture above of Karen) -- we need to get the coins using our mouth!  No pictures because our faces were all covered with flour!

Next is the "Sack Race" but due to safety reasons - it was deferred.

Last but not the least, the "Pukpok Palayok".

In all that 5 games -- all accumulated points, it was Orange Team who won! Woohooo! Thanks to my team who actively particated! Ven, Mae, Tiney and Jerome!

After the games -- we had some photo opps again by the pool.

We needed to take a rest -- the games were very intense and we were all sweaty!  I was forgot to bring extra clothes --

Again! Thanks to , Anne and Karen for the wonderful and challenging games!

Our next activity was the Exchange Gift and White Elephant.
Thanks Tiney and Mae for explaining to me how the game works -- it's easy to understand but when you are actually explaining to the team, it's complicated (or maybe it's just me!).

I was confused with Left and Right, Odd and Even! hahahaha!
Buti nalang patient ung team sa akin! Thanks Team!

White Elephant was quite confusing but it was a lot of fun, chaos, excitement and thrill! We should do it again next year!

Then on to our exchange gifts!
Then finally to our group picture by the CF Banner :)

Til next year!

Mae's not so Naughty Bridal Shower

I love weddings and I love Bridal showers even more!!
Because it's all about the bride and the fun to forever!

So Mae will tie the knot on the 27th and it's just the right time to have her Bridal Shower! Why is there a need to do this event before the wedding? Just to say our best wishes and messages before she plunge into married life!  Well this is the wholesome reason, I don't wanna mention the naughty reason ^_^ hihihi...

Now we have Tiney to help us out in this event and she was the one who headed the preparation. It was just us in our team.

Mae wasn't supposed to know the shower -- it was meant to be a surprise but while we were very busy preparing the shower, Mae already had an idea about it and just pretended she doesn't know anything! Oh Boy!!

Now on to the Shower.. Before we started the program, we had lunch first and then we asked Mae to wear the head dress as our Bride.

The first game was all about how well Mae knew about her soon to be husband -- all questions were prepared by Tiney and they were all interesting -- we were all excited to know the answers and if they will match!  Tiney was able to get Norman's response via voice mail (from fb).

In fairness, out of the 23 questions, Mae got 15 questions correct!!

The next game was a team effort game.
The group was divided into two teams and they had one goal -- to blow!
Yes they had to blow and make the biggest balloon!

Honestly, I never knew that condoms can stretch up to this big! Galing ni Ani!

Then the next game is "Lick my Banana" -- the banana was covered with peanut butter and they had to lick it.

Since the banana was so ripe that it didn't stand the stick -- the game was turned into "eat my banana"!

Then another group effort was the "Road to Success" game.  The game master (Tiney) and the props master (Roxy) made two bridges and the goal is to blow the nips (using a pototoy straw) up to end of the bridge.

This game was very meaningful because at the end of the bridge it says "Happy Ending"!

Then the next game is " Mold my Winnie".
The goal: to mold the most realistic Winnie -- from it's shape and endurance! Haha!

Mae of course was the judge and she cannot touch either of the "pototoys" because she just can't help but laugh!!

Interesting how each team was able to manage to imagine and mold the pototoys! @_@

Then we had the last game which is "All about Panties" --

Tiney, sorry coz I forgot the name of this game.. The only player was Mae. Each panty has a corresponding message in it but it doesn't have the name of the giver.

So Mae had to guess, based from the panty and message, on who gave the panty.

Funny because out of 10 panties, Mae only guessed one I think!! Anyways, we still told Mae who gave what and Mae was laughing because she got it all wrong! Especially when she thought I gave the "unlisex" message -- he he!

It was a fun and exciting event!
We learned a lot from Mae and Norman and we also learned a lot from the team.

Baguio: Cold Weekend Day2

The next day we were up early and had our breakfast at Mountain Lodge.  They have choices of Filipino breakfast, coffee, tea or juice. Oh my it was so cold outside but we still decided to have our breakfast by the garden.

Then we went ahead to Wright Park.
Even before we take the steps -- vendors approached us and we were tempted to buy silver works and wallet for myself.

After that so many steps up the Wright Park, we rested for a while and took the chance to inhale the fresh and sweet air in Baguio! It smelled pine trees! He he

This is the long walkway going to The Mansion.

Where I am busily taking selfies and Sweets is again making Timpla the white balance of his camera.

Then a quick peek to The Mansion.

Then we visited Baguio Cathedral to give thanks and to praise Him for all the things that He has done for us and our families.

We decided to have our lunch at a nearby carindiria in Burnham Park.  When in another place -- it is a must to go where the people there go and this is one of those places! Yes and the Bulalo and Chicharong Bulaklak were winners to our tummy!

Next stop was at PMA, Philippine Military Academy.

I was here I think 20+ years ago and thus everything here looked new to me!  I even enjoyed watching the cadets practicing their riffle drill - really fun to watch!

Here are some of our pictures in PMA.

Then the Sunken Garden

Then off we go to Lourdes Shrine.
We gave thanks to our Mother and stayed there for a while to meditate and enjoy the air and nature!
With those steps (100+) it made us sit by the gutter.

Back to Burnham Park to wait for the street Ukay Ukay Galore and street food!

We walked through Burnham park and then to the streets then back to Burnham Park -- yes it was tiring! Then we decided to just stay at Burnham and watch the fountain with lights! It was relaxing to watch!

There were also Christmas lights display and kids loved them.

When it's nearing 9pm, we decided to wait near Harrison Road (where the Ukay Ukay and street food will open) then when 9pm came it was game!

You can see a lot of street food to enjoy -- bulalo, lugaw, Isaw, burgers, shawarma, drinks, corn and a lot more.

There were a wide array of Ukay Ukay from shoes, bags, clothes, jackets, blanket and a lot more.  If you are not a big fan of Ukay Ukay then you can still enjoy the stalls that offers brand new everything!

This is at 8:45pm.. See how they are already preparing their stall and by 9am its ready to ramble and roads will be closed to traffic!! Imagine that this is the whole stretch of Harrison Road! Pag hindi ka naman nalula sa dami!!

Its too crowded! Yes! So if you don't have the patience to make siksik with people then this is not the place for you.

In the end I was not able to buy anything from Ukay but I was able to buy one knitted top and earrings!!

Oh boy! How our feet hurts! Good thing the jeepney going to Mountain Lodge was just near by and we didn't wait that long for the jeep to arrive.

Time to rest!! Back to our beds!!

Baguio: Cold Weekend (Day1)

Christmas is in the air! Especially when it's 12 degrees!
What a nice way to spend a weekend with Sweets and close friends in Baguio!

There was no special occassion, just a celebration of friendship through the years (even when miles apart).  We decided to get together in Baguio, maybe because it's near Manila and the weather there is a good getaway from the heat of the city (Manila and Kuala Lumpur).

We took the the Deluxe trip of Victory Liner and left Cubao at 10:15am then arrived Baguio at 2:30pm.  Yes it took us just 4 hours (non stop) travel because it was via TPLEX. We had our own restroom, free snacks and water plus free WiFi and not to mention the very beautiful and accommodating stewardess!

It's just the four of us: Me, Sweets, Karl and Che!
We stayed at Mountain Lodge - it is just in front of Gate 1 of Teacher's Camp.  It was very homey and the people there were very accommodating.

From their site:
Located in the heart of the city's classic hotel row, Mountain Lodge is just a walk or ride away to most Baguio's attractions: Botanical Garden, Teacher's Camp, Wright Park, Mines View, Mansion House and Camp John Hay.

We just left our things in Mountain Lodge and headed to our first stop; Mines View.

Mines View is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Baguio.
We immediately looked for the famous dog in this place, the St. Bernard dog -- I was expecting just one but because it's our lucky day we had two St. Bs with us.

The one on the left is Feona (female) and the other one is King (male).  Yes (I also asked.. ) Shrek was at home. Both St. Bs are three years old, very friendly, well trained and sweet!

Then off to the famous viewing deck.

Our next stop was at Good Shepherd Convent.
We wanted to make sure that we are able to get our pasalubongs ahead of time and thus this is place is one of our first stops.

Ang bigat na ng dala namin -- so we decided to bring the goodies back to Mountain Lodge first before we head for dinner.

We went to SM! You might ask -- why go all the way to Baguio just to visit SM? The only one (or one of the) mall that doesn't have air conditioning system.  Yes! Who would need an air con with the weather in Baguio?  Imagine how much cost of electricity they save because they don't need air con. Nice right??!!  This is the viewing deck in SM Baguio!

Then we went for a walk in Session road to look for a good place to have our dinner! It was very cold outside and the place we had for dinner was just the perfect one!

To cap the night we decided to go to Burnham Park. Where we saw a lot of lovebirds and it was nakakakilig to look at them.. Some students were practicing some dance steps and some were just roaming around.. Just like us. We were also lucky to see the quick fireworks display by SM.

Fun day to start in Baguio!!

Til next blog entry!
