CF and Consulting HR & CMT Summer FUN

Yup! That was the theme of our recently concluded summer event.  It was never too late for a summer getaway and thus even with our very busy schedules we had the opportunity to unwind, relax, recognize and recharge!

This is our DIY banner and it was made out of felt paper, crepe paper, some yarn, tape and a lot of Love for the banner :)

The theme for our summer getaway was Hawaiian -- of course very much related to summer.  We didn't have the chance to go to the beach and thus we dressed Hawaiian -- We wore colorful clothing, flowery, some leis and grass skirts.  I thank everyone for dressing up!  You all look gorgeous and summery!

Of course our team will not let this day pass without dressing up!
I am happy that my ladies granted my request to dress up!

Thank you Karen for being heavily involved in choosing this place.
Initially, we planned to have it in Laguna but when we were planning, we wanted that everyone can attend the event, including Odette who is pregnant.  Thus we chose this one in Novaliches, QC.

Sadly, Odette wasn't able to attend still -- she is on complete bed rest.

We also prepared a simple program for the team.  This is to also appreciate a job well done for the team members and also inject some fun awards to have a good laugh!  These were the prizes.

A bit of design to honor the pineapple :)

We also had a Hawaiian inspired cupcake tower!

Aside from the pool, there were other things to do except to eat.
Sorry I was not able to take a shot of the foodies -- there were a lot! As in a lot!
Akala nga naming kulang eh -- pero ang daming take home :)

First off - there was videoke.
This is the second time that we had videoke activity and I must say that we are all on the same page when it comes to singing.

I said "Singing" okie not "Singing in tune" -- because for I am personally and proudly out of tone :)

Then we also had billiards for those who are shy to sing!

Overall -- it was a fun 5 hours activity for all of us.
I don't know about the others but I had a lot of fun.

It is always good to have these events outside of work so that we will be reminded that there is indeed LIFE outside the office premises.
The best part of it -- we know we have friends and we know how to have fun.

Baguio Foodies: Chef's Home

Still not too late to go to Baguio to beat the heaty summer in the metro.

When we had our Team Building last week of March, our first lunch in Baguio was a bomb!

With the help of Tine we discovered this simple food haven in Baguio.  With our stomachs crumbling this is just the right place to satisfy our hunger!

We went to Chef's Home -- it is just at 13 Outlook Drive, Baguio City.

On the outside, you can already see that it's not that spacious but you can be assured that your cravings will be satisfied.

On the inside, it can only accommodate up to 40pax, so if you want to be seated then you have to make reservations or be there early.   You can call them at 0916 444 5756.

See, we occupied almost the entire half of the place :p

Lucky for us, we arrived at around 11am so there were got seated immediately. This was the menu.

We decided to get the following (of course all with rice).

Bokchoy:

Boneless Chicken:

Tilapia with Tamarind Sauce:

Black Pepper Pork:

It will never be complete without a drink! Yes, we have Ms Tine to model it out! Nice smile there pretty little sister!

Then we ended the meal with this must try dessert.
Roti Chef's Home with Coffee Sauce and Banana.
There were no banana at that time so we were given peaches instead!
It was really triple goodness in one dessert!

I will definitely go back to this wonderful place -- I want Sweets to taste the goodness!

This is the entire group with Chef Ricky.  He is the Filipino Chef that Chef Alvin trained! Thumbs up for the great food experience!

Happy Friday: Celebrated April with a BANG!

Oh wow! It's MAY and we still have one month to go to enjoy the summer heat.  Have you taken your summer getaway yet?

For the month of April, my husband and I have been into places.    Not new places but just all over the place and he was complaining that we had a lot going on last Month.

Last April 4 - we had dinner at Dampa, with one of our close friend, Jacqui.  Pity we were not able to take some pictures because we were so engossed in catching up.  I was only able to take a snapshot of the foodies! Hehe!

Last April 5 - we were able to get our own transport and I am very proud with what Sweets (well we) have achieved! I am looking forward for more blessings this year! We went to the showroom, then to the bank and the insurance and all that stuff - but it was all worth it.

Have another glimpse in my Good Karma post.

Last April 6 - we went to Manaoag, Pangasinan for the blessing of the new transport.  It was a 4 hour ride but with the help of SCTEX it was quite convenient.  Pity (again) we were not able to take some snaps because we were focused on the blessing and prayers.

We went to have lunch at the famous "Isdaan" where the "Tacsiyapo Wall" was well known.  Of course we had to pose there!

Last April 12 - we celebrated a triple event of happiness where we proclaimed that "Greater Things are about to Happen"!

Take another glimpse here -- Triple Celebration

It was also the debut of my "Candy Buffet" raket!

Last April 20 - it was an Easter Sunday Christening event that I hosted! Another new for me and loved how the theme was prepared.

Check it out again in - when we welcomed Sybelle!

Last April 25 - it was my inlaw's wedding anniversary and we celebrated it at Pagsanjan Falls.  It was all our first time and we all loved it.

Last April 26 - we went to Ortigas to attend the 1st Birthday of Ethan (Ann's Son).  It was a sports themed party and in coincidence, we were also wearing green, same as Ethan :)

Last April 27 - we went to meet our friend from MY, Karl! We were lucky to also meet his Lola Groovy and his family.

Then we had the chance to try another Halo Halo - to beat the summer heat!

It's just the start of May and I am excited with the plans that we have for this month!  Can't hide that summer excitement anymore!! ^_^
