Merry CF Recruitment Party!!

It's the time of the year once more where we celebrate our yearly Christmas Party! We were all prepared and we spent is in Ms My's house.
This is the famous "by the pool" wacky shot!

Let me share with you what happened for the rest of the day.
When we arrived, the "Food Committee "already prepared our food.
Thank you Ace, TinaZ, Tell, Roxy and Luanne! Nabusog kami!

Then a bit of decorations was added by our "Decorations Committee".
Thank you Jerome, Tiney and Roxy!

Then on to the one of the most awaited part of the party -- eating time!
Good that we had this one shot while eating because we were all so busy munchin!

Hahahah! ^_^ Of course we will not forget to take a shot of the foodies.

We had welcome remarks care of my very kind and accommodating manager, Ms Myra (Thanks po ulit for having us in your place)!!

Then on to the activities ---
The Games Committee prepared 6 games for all of us.
Before we start the games, we were grouped into two -- Green and Orange team and just coincident that I was part of the "Orange Team".

Before we start the games, the "Games Committee" were very busy preparing our games!

And we are all ready to ramble! Bring it on Green and Orange Team!!

The first game was called "Talong at Posporo (kahon)".
We need to bring the match box to the end of the line with the help of the eggplant. We can't touch the eggplant and here is how it should be done.. "Go Ven"

Then next was "Kadang-Kadang".
We need to walk using the "Bao and Lubid" all the way to the goal then back to our base. "Go Lhen!"

Then we had "Calamansi Relay".
Give me that Calamansi Ven!!!

We also had "Hukayin ang Ginto".  There were gold chocolate coins at the botton of the container filled with flour (if you can scroll up to the picture above of Karen) -- we need to get the coins using our mouth!  No pictures because our faces were all covered with flour!

Next is the "Sack Race" but due to safety reasons - it was deferred.

Last but not the least, the "Pukpok Palayok".

In all that 5 games -- all accumulated points, it was Orange Team who won! Woohooo! Thanks to my team who actively particated! Ven, Mae, Tiney and Jerome!

After the games -- we had some photo opps again by the pool.

We needed to take a rest -- the games were very intense and we were all sweaty!  I was forgot to bring extra clothes --

Again! Thanks to , Anne and Karen for the wonderful and challenging games!

Our next activity was the Exchange Gift and White Elephant.
Thanks Tiney and Mae for explaining to me how the game works -- it's easy to understand but when you are actually explaining to the team, it's complicated (or maybe it's just me!).

I was confused with Left and Right, Odd and Even! hahahaha!
Buti nalang patient ung team sa akin! Thanks Team!

White Elephant was quite confusing but it was a lot of fun, chaos, excitement and thrill! We should do it again next year!

Then on to our exchange gifts!
Then finally to our group picture by the CF Banner :)

Til next year!

Old and New!

Some few months ago, people got crazy about Flappy Bird! Yes, that famous game in our smart phones that everybody loved.  A lot of news came out from that game, it was just a sensation and believe it or not it just passed by swiftly!

With practice -- I am proud to say that I was able to score a bit high, (than the average Joe) and in one try I can easily score 80+ and my best score was 228.

Then came this new game! Oh boy, it's called Swing Copters! Another game by the one who created Flappy bird and this will surely be a hit.  My first 10+ attemps in playing the game, I scored zero, then in the next games I was able to score.  Yes, I was able to score 1.

What's my point? New things will always come our way and just when we are comfortable with what we are doing another new thing will arrive.  The "NEW" before is now "OLD" and we have to relearn everything, start from scratch and make mistakes until we perfect our craft.

Taking in new things, new challenges are like being out of our comfort zones.  Our choice is to either take on the challenge, fail and succeed or stay in our comfort zones where there is no room for improvement, growth and even nourishment.

So even if I started with these two games, there is always something that we can link into our lives and that realization is more important than anything else!

Happy Friday: Life is like Temple Run

When I was in Malaysia, I always talk about the games that I enjoyed doing.
I enjoyed SIMS Social, Bugs Life, Candy Crush.

When I came back here in the Philippines, I deleted all my games and just let my Candy Crush application sit there in my phone.

Last weekend, the grand daughter of our friend was in our house.

Mamy Cora: Meron ka bang games jan sa iPad, Tablet?
KL: Wala po akong iPad eh, iPhone meron, pero wala po akong games eh.
KL: (To Shaine) Marunong ka bang mag Candy Crush?
Shaine: Hindi eh.. Temple Run alam ko.
KL: Wala ako non eh..
Shaine: *sad*
KL: Sige mag download tayo ng Temple Run
Shaine: "Wink Wink"

Because of that scenario, now I have Temple Run.
It was the first time I had this game in my phone and it was also my first time to play it.  Seriously!

As I was playing it, I realized that Temple Ran is like our lives.
When you play it, he keeps on running and running and looking for coins and avoiding bumpy roads ahead.

Like our lives; it's a continuous journey that we have to take and there is no sense in stopping because life will go on even if we bump into something unpleasant!  Life will take you to extreme heights, fires, bumps and even dragons but we need to make sure that we move on because that's how life is.

Like Temple Run, you will also have accomplishments along the way but as it says "Next Challenge" it also means to say that a lot more challenges will come.

Challenges that will strengthen our character and will make us better persons.
Now whether you enjoy playing this game or not, let us all enjoy what life has to offer us and let us not stop running!

He who quits never wins! (but make sure you know your battles). :D
