It will cost RM50.00 per person (back and forth) with entrance to the Colmar Tropicale.
Since it was a long weekend, Sweets' informed our friends that we were planning to go to French Village. Then I was surprised when Sweets' told me that from initially the two of us, it will now be 12 of us.
I was thrilled because we never planned for this trip as a group but then two days before the planned trip it's already the 12 of us. Much surprising, a day before the trip, we were 15 all in all.
Given this, we have decided that it would be more convenient for all of us to just rent a van instead of taking the shuttle bus. The van will fetch us from Menara Jaya and back & forth. Much more convenient and less hassle since no need for us to go all the way to Time Square to ride the shuttle bus.
Then we have another car (c/o Reo and Zar) to join us.
We rented the van for RM600 (not bad at all!) since we have our own driver (Sir Daniel) who waited for us until 6pm.
It was a 45 minute travel from our place but it was fun since we were all together and we did a lot of chit chats to catch up with one another. We seldom go out together and thus this un-planned activity was definitely worth it!
Colmar Tropicale is a French themed village and hotel located in Berjaya Hills Resort, Bukit Tinggi Pahang, Malaysia. It is located 2.600 feet (790 m) above sea level on 80 acres of natural forestland. The development was inspired by the original town of Colmar in Alzace, France.

Upon arrival, you will immediately feel like you are not in Malaysia because of the cool breeze and the structures. The medieval french village brings you back to an era steeped in culture and romance.

If you are up to spend your entire day here, then 2 hours is long enough to savor its view and beauty. However, if you want a peace and quite place outside the metro then this is the place to be.
You can book a room here to stay for the weekend! Aside from the French Village itself, there are a lot of recreational activity in this place. They have:
- Mountain Biking
- Rock Climbing
- Organic Farm
- Equestrian, Golf, Sports Complex
- Adventure Park
- Japanese Village
- Botanical Garden
- Animal Park
Since we only have a day to spend there, we enjoyed the entire French Village, Japanese Village and Botanical Garden in our 9 hours stay.
When we arrived (Since none of us were in a hurry) we took our sweet time to take a lot of pictures.
This is the entrance of the village. Feels like the old times when a bridge used to connect the village from the outside mountains.
This is what you will see inside the village. The Bicycles are for rent and you can use it for an hour. The windmills were colorful and looked so nice if all of them were spinning.
If you have children with you, you can buy bubbles for them to enjoy. They even have an activity area for children who enjoys painting.
Again, during the olden times, their mode of transportation is via horses and thus they have a sample here.
After taking some pictures to head start our French Village Tour, we all decided to stop for a while and have some breakfast first. We headed to the only "French Bake shop" there.
Luckily, we have a kababayan in the French Bakery and it made it easy for all of us to communicate! :) (Yes, even if we have been here in MY for more than a year now, we still prefer talking to fellow kababayans! Make transactions easier).
We stayed there for maybe 30 - 45 minutes. See, we are really taking our time!
Our next stop was the tower at the middle of the village. It's a three storey (if my memory serves me well) tower and you will see the entire view of the village from up there!
It was a bit windy but the experience was cool enough to relax and to enjoy the view of the mountains.
Right after this area we headed to scout the entire village which took us approximately an hour. Taking pictures here and there!
A lot of shots were taken from the French Village but this one was my favorite! Classic shot by Sweets! :D
Our next stop was at the Japanese Village, which was approximately 15 minutes (via tram) from the French Village. We had to queue to be able to ride the tram and visit Japanese Village.

More fun pictures at my FB Album. :D
Well, this was an unplanned day trip. I hope that in the near future we will be able to plan another trip outside the metro!
Xoxo
