Happy Friday: Where do you want to go?

Earlier this year I have been talking to a number of people and with that I was beating myself into understanding what I want do with my life.

Am I happy with what I am doing now?
Do I find purpose and fulfillment?
Is there something missing?

While I was reminiscing and thinking about the things that I would like to achieve, I remembered one scene from the Twilight Saga - Eclipse.

It was a very simple graduation speech but it really made sense.
Even if this was a high school graduation and I already passed it, one way or the other I know I will walk down that journey of confusion again and again.

What do we need to do now to find our purpose?

1. Find happiness in what we do - we can never be fulfilled if we are not happy
2. Take each challenge as a stepping stone in achieving our pot of gold
3. Be helpful to those who does not seek help
4. Stay focused in what you want to achieve in LIFE and you will never go wrong
5. LIVE a HAPPY LIFE - by smiling all the time - let your eyes smile and the people around you will feel the love.

~~~~~~~~
We all have our purpose in this planet, some may have found it and living it but some may still be reaching in the dark.  It is still not too late - we just need to start to find our purpose now!
As for myself - I know deep in my heart of hearts that it is to make you all HAPPY :)
Talk to you all soon!
Chinese New Year in Cameron Highlands! ^_^
Every month, we (Sweets and I) always look at the calendar and checks for any upcoming holidays. Last January, we (Sweets, me and friends) planned to spend the Chinese New Year Holiday out of KL.
This year, we have decided to say "Gong Xi Fa Cai" in Malaysia's most extensive hill station, Cameron Highlands.  This spectacular place is a 3 and 1/2 hour ride from KL.
We were very excited about planning this trip:
- Reo already booked a wonderful place to stay
- Sweets already reached out to the owner of the car that we will rent
- We already researched for our itinerary
- We already computed for our budget
What else was missing?  Uh-oh! We forgot that it's Chinese New Year and that it will be very JAM (traffic) going up the Hill! Learning these facts from our local Chinese friends came in a bit late and we were all set to leave!
So how? We literally thought of trashing the idea to go to Cameron because we do not want to waste our time with the jam. Hmmm..  Sweets called me and we discussed about the situation, my thoughts were:
"We will never know how jam it is until we go and check for ourselves".
Then we all decided to go on!
February 8:
- 9pm - Sweets, Reo and Joel went to Pavilion Mall to pick up our rented car (Avanza)
- 10pm - dinner in preparation for the long journey
- 12mn - we started our exciting journey
This was our first time to have a long drive in the middle of the night and thus there were some situation here and there but we were still able to reach our destination.
February 9:
- 4:30am - we reached Exit 137 and we looked for the nearest Gasoline Station to stay a bit and wait before we proceed to Cameron
- 6:00am - several vehicles were already moving their way to Cameron and thus we decided to proceed with our travel
- 7:00am - we reached our first destination.
Imagine that the sun was just about to rise and you will see a green view that smelled so fresh.  It was one perfect way to relax the body and the mind.
It was just 20 degrees but I was like "brrrrr" @_@
We took the chance to take a lot of photos since we were the only people there.  The Tea House is yet to open at 8:30am but we went ahead to eat our breakfast there ~ while waiting for our tea.
I was able to appreciate this wonderful tea.  Sweets and I got the Cameron Valley Tea, with milk and sugar and it was definitely relaxing.
While we were on our way to our next destination, we came across Cameron Lavander.
From the name itself, we were welcomed by lavander flowers!  Aside from the flowers they also had fresh lettuce and strawberries.
Our next destination was at the Bee Farm, then followed by the Raju Hill Strawberry Farm.
After our lunch, we headed to check-in to our apartment!
Our apartment was from Hong Kong Hotel, but it was actually situated at the Crown Imperial Court.  The apartment has three rooms (each has a single bed and a queen size bed), pretty huge sala and dining set, good kitchen with utensils.  I highly recommend it! Very nice!
I would like to thank Reo for finding this awesomeness place!
We settled down at around 1pm and we decided to sleep for a bit and continue our journey by 6pm.  Who would not want to sleep with these sweet comforters! Hmmm!
The view from our apartment was just amazing! The landscape of the mountains, the blue sky and the night market was very inviting to look at!
At exactly 6pm, we were all set to continue our journey.  It was cold but the heat of the Night Market was so irresistible we can't wait to jump in.
From our apartment, it's just 5 min walk to the Night Market and if you can see from the image, it was an entire strip.
There was an area for street food, fruits, drinks, clothes, souvenirs, plants and a whole lot more!
I can spend the entire night in this place! I won't get bored! :D
Moving on! After eating a lot of food, drinking sea coconut, buying plants, honey and key chains, we headed home!
After bringing all our items back home, we rested for a bit and then went back outside to have our dinner :D
This was the night market!
We had steamboat! Yes we drove all the way to Cameron to have steamboat! Interesting, isn't! ^_^
After dinner, we called it a day!
February 10: Rise and Shine!
Our first destination was at the Sam Poh Temple to give thanks and to wish for more! :D
After our prayer, we went back to our apartment to pack our things and check out.  We had our lunch at Hong Kong Hotel.
After lunch, we headed to Parit Falls. Before exploring the view we had some photo opps.
We walked all the way around the mountain side, only to find out at the end of the trail that Parit Falls was not there!
Instead of being sad, we took the chance to eat, laugh and tell stories.
When we got back at the start of the trail, we saw Parit Falls! Yey!
What an amazing two day journey! We were so happy to have this time of our lives.  We all enjoyed it and we are already planning for our next trip.  Hopefully there will be more of us.  The more the merrier! :D
Till our next trip! See you all!
PS: Budget per head for this two day, one night trip is RM200. If you want to buy more souvenir and food then better bring more cash :D
How do you define LOVE?
LOVE may be defined in so many ways by so many people.  It depends on the situation and it depends on who we are talking to.
Love is when:
~ You help an elderly to cross the street
~ You help your sister with her make up and clothes
~ You cook dinner for your parents
~ You wake up early in the morning to prepare milk for your baby
~ You lend your favorite book to your friend
~ You laugh spontaneously with your friends and you never notice the time
~ You help your little brother solve the puzzle
~ You give your food to someone in need even if you feel hungry
~ You create a personalized card for your partner
~ You stay late at night waiting for your husband to arrive
~ You tell stories and share tears with your partner
I can stay all night just by telling how I define love.  Then again, this is something that may vary from person to person.  I would like to re-iterate the definition of M. Scott Peck (got this from my dear friend Gelo)
"Love is not a feeling.  Love is an action, an activity... Genuine Love implies commitment and the exercise of wisdom.  Love as the will to extend oneself for the purpose of nurturing one's own or anchor's spiritual growth. Love is as love does"
For me, the simple definition of love is happiness.  If I am happy then it means that I am in love and vice versa.
I am blessed to have the love that I need, with that I am able to give back and bring more happiness to the people that matters to me a lot.
I hope that we all share the love that we have.  It will mean a lot of happy people in this planet.
Happy Friday: Love Love Love Month!
I love February because this is the time of the year where all people are being cheesy, lovey and mushy mushy all the time. Like Christmas, Love will always be there all through out the year but February is the month that we give all out to express our LOVE.
I am excited for February because aside from the LOVE month, it's also Chinese New Year! We are planning to do some activities during the holidays and what's best about going out of town is going out with your dear friends and spending quality time together.  I am also anticipating Valentines Day, I would expect a lot of girls holding a bouquet of white roses or tulips or even chocolates.  Restaurants, Spas, Hotels will be jam-packed with a lot of sweet couples enjoying their sweet time.
Ahh, I can imagine how happy people would be.
It makes me smile as well. It makes me happy to think that a lot of people are in-love and are spending their lives with the one they love.
Speaking of ~ I am very blessed to have the opportunity to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, my confidant, my savior, my inspiration, my love, my all-in-one guy ~ Sweets!
Now I will not let a single second pass without letting him know how special he is to me.  Not by uttering the words literally but by letting him feel important and loved.   This is exactly the same concept as with my family in the Philippines, as much as I can, I wanted them to feel that they are very important to me!
See, we should take each day as it will be our last.  We need to ensure that we say what we want to say, do what we want to do and live the life that we want to live.  No one will take action except ourselves and thus the only way to do it is to start NOW.
Tell me what you think and I will tell you what I think :D
Badminton in a day ^_^
If you are familiar with the sport that Sweets' is fond of doing then you know that it's not Badminton.
My husband is a Bowling Buddy!  He loves bowling a lot and he wants to perfect it one step at a time.
However, it does not limit him to play other sports, like Tennis, Badminton, Swimming.  He plays but he is not in the competitive mode with these sports :)
One Friday afternoon, Bench and Butch (Sweets' friend) invited him to be part of the "Badminton Tournament".  At first Sweets was hesitant to join because this is really not his forte and he hadn't played for the last 6 years, however, Bench showed his "puppy dog eyes" and thus Sweets said "YES" but only for this tournament! Hehehe! (kidding on the "puppy dog eyes").
They practiced that Friday night and it went well (as far as I am concerned).
They had one day rest and they went for the tournament on a Sunday (January 28, 2013).
It was held at the "PUDU Badminton Hall"
It was my first time there and it was fine there.
I haven't attended any Badminton Tournament before and I was happy to see how it was done.  The organizers were well prepared for this event.
You can see from the tarpaulin as well as the medals and trophies.
There were seven teams, each team has 4 members (3 boys, 1 girl).
The system is not to choose your own team mates, since they do not want people to be left behind.  They had draw lots, luckily, Sweets was drawn to be part of Bench's team. Lucky Boy!
There were several games (10am - 6pm) and even if I just watched them played, I feel very very tired! :D (how could that be?).
After all that sweat, tears and dehydration, the game finally concluded.
While I was waiting for the winners, I was shocked (with eyes wide open) when Amcy called the "Third Runner Up" - it was Team # 7.. who were part of Team 7?  Here goes:
See, how lucky Sweets' was!! Quadruple luckiness!!!
Another team who tied with them was team # 2
- Mon Decena
- Manny
- Joy
- Irvin
 "Second Runner Up" was team # 5
- Amcy
- Richard
- Paul
- Chris
"First Place" is Team # 1
- Kaiser
- Mae
- Ron
All of the teams played so well. I saw how they played and it was all out energy.  Though not all of them won, I saw that they all enjoyed playing and enjoyed the company of each other!  By the way, this Tournament is an All-Filipino one.  Who knows, maybe in the future, they will be able to invite Malaysians :)
I would like to personally salute all of the people who helped and organized this tournament!  Kudos to you all!
Special thanks to Amcy and Bench!
It was indeed a special event! An unforgettable one.
Nice playing with you all!  Till next time (don't know if Sweets will agree).
"Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game." ~ Michael Jordan
Happy Friday: What would you do?
Happy Friday is all about happy thoughts, happy moments and happy memories.  This time around, I am posing a question to all of us.
Please help by watching this video and let us ask ourselves.
What are we going to do?
 Personally this video gave me a reality check.
It made me think, if I was in that situation what would I do?  I really cannot tell until I am in that in situation.
They say that the best way to measure honesty is when no one is looking.
I definitely agree with this!  We know that Someone up there is always looking at us and someone inside us is telling us the right thing to do! :D
I leave this line to all of us. For us to reflect and to think deeper on how we are doing things, how we LIVE our LIVES and how we return the favor.
